The past century will be much remembered for introduction of cinema in our life rather than invention of television. The journey from television screen to the Big Screen and then to our personal computers is a commendable one.
This journey had many twists and many ups and downs but still this journey never stopped. Somehow we are also inspired and influenced by what happens in the movies. We can love cinema we can hate cinema but we can not ignore cinema.
If the movies like Dhoom (2004) and its subsequent sequels have motivated a street biker to perform stunts like Kabir (lead character in Dhoom) and get nabbed by cops while crossing the speed limit, the movies like Rang De Basanti (2006) have inspired us to take a stand and question the autocracy of the government.
Censorship is not a negative sign but a positive symptom of the fear of a dictatorship for awakening of masses.
Anyways, rather than beating about the bush, I like to introduce you to my blog the Government of Cinestaan. A government by a true Cinizen (a person who lives in the world of cinema 24 X 7) for Cinizens and of Cinizens.
As the name suggests, it is a blog dedicated to all those who love cinema and want to share some news about it. I plan to introduce some interesting things like movie quiz (based on dialogues and names of the characters), movie reviews and suggestions about the movies of an unexplored Indian cinema.
